PSG Handball vs Montpellier: Champions Trophy Defeat

It is still not the right one for PSG hand. Defeated by Nantes (29-36) during the Champions Trophy last year, the Parisians hoped to start their 2025 season better by returning to this title, on the occasion of the shock against Montpellier (23-29), at Arena Futuroscope.

But it is the MHB that wins this competition for the 4th time in its history (2010, 2011, 2018, 2025). Departing from PSG to join the south of France, Léo Plantin and David Balaguer played a bad tour of their old club, especially Balaguer who shone.

With its three goals in five minutes, the Spaniard announced the color to the Parisians who never really entered the match. In addition to its waste in the game, the club of the capital stumbled on the goalkeeper Charles Bolzinguer author of many stops (13).

Despite an effective Kamil Syprzak with 8 goals, PSG has never managed to worry an MHB which nevertheless saw its player Rogerio Moraes taking a red card. But that hasn’t changed anything in the match scenario, and the capital’s club does not start the best way in the season. Now, the men of Danish coach Stefan Madsen aim to be better prepared for the French Cup match against Caen (September 2), then the resumption of the championship against Dunkirk (September 6).
