After the very tight victory in the semifinal of the Us Basket Cup of Modena against Mestre, the Extra Pistoia took the field for the final of the Modenese event against one of the big names of the next A2 as the Basketball Forlì: final score 105-103 for a truly churious red and white team, who took the field with the right tough face and with an already enviable athletic condition.
The positive indications for coach Tommaso Della Rosa since this two days are really many because the team has lined in a commendable way from a physical and athletic point of view, showing still good things in attack. All this considering the lack of an American, compared to the other contenders, and the absence in the final both by Captain Lorenzo Saccaggi and by Simone Zanotti, struggling with a blow to the knee immediately in the first game of the weekend. Despite this, however, the red and white sold the skin dearly against Forlì (a minutage particularly low also for Jazz Johnson) managing to grant a few seconds to the Romagna in the first 20 ‘and, after a little initial difficulty at the opening of the match, the Extra has returned widely on track thanks also to an excellent aim for free shots and the evening of grace of Nicolas Alessandrini.
