The NFL announced on Friday the suspension for 10 games for defensive Tackle Isaiah Buggsformer player of the Kansas City Chiefs, arrested in June last year for domestic violence and robbery.
The player was fired by the Chiefs on June 24, 2024after the arrest was made known.
Buggs was arrested in the town of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, after the police went to an emergency call for the player’s aggression against his children’s mother, which he dragged down the stairs in his house.
That was the second problem that the defensive had with justice the previous year. In May he was accused of two minor crimes for animal cruelty for which he was also arrested, although he regained his freedom after paying a bail of $ 600.
In March this year, Buggs were reduced by charges for domestic violence and robbery as part of a guilt agreement of a minor raid crime.
The 29 -year -old from Ruston, Louisiana, arrived at the NFL selected in the sixth round of the 2019 Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team in which he remained until 2021.
He played the 2022 and 2023 campaigns with the Detroit Lions, then passed to the Chiefs, with whom he was champion in the Super Bowl LVIII, although as part of the practices team. Buggs is currently a free agent.
In other relevant movements of the NFL this Friday the New England Patriots dismissed the deep defensive Jabrill Peppers after three seasons in the team.
Peppers started in 26 games with the ‘PATS’. He added three interceptions, 10 defendant passes, two forced loose balls, one capture and 178 cup.
Jabrill is an experienced 29 -year -old defensive who arrived at the League recruited by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2017 Draft.
Between 2019 and 2021 he played for the New York Jets and from 2022 until this Friday he was part of New England.
In eight campaigns he accumulates seven interceptions and 511 Tackleadas in 99 games, in which he has been 85 times.
