Indonesia FIFA Ranking: Highest in ASEAN (5 Years)

Jakarta, Viva -Ahead of FIFA Matchday September 2025, the development of FIFA ranking ASEAN countries in the last five years in the spotlight. Indonesia emerged as the country with the most impressive progress, noting the highest increase in points compared to other countries in the region.

Based on FIFA data as of 17 September 2020 to July 10, 2025, the Indonesian national team rose 191 points. At that time, Indonesia was in the 173th position of the world, now Garuda darted to rank 118 FIFA.

This surge was achieved thanks to a brilliant performance in various events, ranging from the Asian Cup qualifiers, the 2023 Asian Cup, to the World Cup qualification. The significant increase made Indonesia the ASEAN team with the best development in the past five years.
