AVN.- A group of 44 Venezuelan athletes, including seven medalistas, arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía after their participation in the Pan American Junior Games Asunción 2025. The delegation was received by sports authorities, including the Vice Minister of Training and Innovation of Physical Activity and Sports, Karla Luna, and the High Performance Director, Francisco Suárez.
This first advanced brings seven of the 13 medals obtained so far by Venezuela in the competition: one of gold, one of silver and five bronze. The second advance is expected to arrive in the country in next days.
Among the medalists is Victoria Alejandra Guerrero, Pan American Champion in his discipline, who wore the National Pavilion upon his arrival. Guerrero emphasized the effort made to reach gold and pointed out that previous preparation was key to his performance.
Swimmer Manuel Díaz also returned, who awarded the silver medal in his first participation in Pan American Games. Díaz described the experience as enriching and expressed his intention to continue representing the country in future competences.
