The point system underwent a significant change in 2024, which led to an increase in the selection of fines. If you run out of your last scored offense for one year (until the last day until 23:59), you are automatically deducted 4 points.
But there is one more way to deduct 4 points of each calendar year (I can easily 20. 12. 2025 and then 12. 1. 2026), through a safe driving course on one of the accredited polygons where the lecturers must be prescribed (polygon).
Those interested in the course must prove that they fulfill the conditions, which demonstrates by completing the application form and sending an statement from the driver card not older than three days to the polygon. Polygon sends a report to the regional authority at least 5 days before the course, which contains the data of people who met the conditions for the course.

As part of the deduction of points, the theory and practice await participants.
In order to read points, you must not have more than 10 penalty points, an active (underage) six -point or seven -point offense and you must be held by the driver’s license (not to be removed or prohibited).
The all -day course usually begins with registration, but there may also be a check of your car capability. This is followed by the teaching itself, which consists of statutory topics, so that legislation, causes of accidents, causes of offenses or crisis situations are addressed on courses.
The training areas are followed by a practical part, where the course participant should prove that he can control the vehicle in crisis situations. Therefore, there may be a situation that if the person does not prove knowledge and abilities, he does not have to obtain a confirmation of the course (however, no tests are done).

The deduction is not automatic, when you do not show knowledge and abilities on the course, you do not have to get a certificate of successful completion.
However, most people can do everything and get a confirmation of completing a safe driving course with a deduction of points. With this confirmation, it is necessary to go to the office of municipalities with extended powers, and beware, according to the lecturers of the Hradec Králové polygon, you still have to go to the place of your permanent residence.
This is followed by the application for a deduction of points and to apply an original polygon confirmation, for which the graduate has a course 30 days. The Office should deduct four points (earlier three) within three working days on the date of the course, but beware, some authorities are said to do it on the date of submission of the application, which is not right. Therefore, we recommend to verify the correctness of the deduction, for example, on the transport or CzechPoint portal.
Courses for deduction of points are across polygons from six to ten thousand crowns, depending on the polygon, the law is not regulated. Interest in points of points in our country has increased sharply, especially after changing the point system since 2024.
