Liverpool has only hours to recruit Alexander Isaac.
Tomorrow, the transfer window closes and the Swede can remain in Newcastle.
“The story of Alexander Isak balances on a knife -edge with less than 24 hours left,” writes journalist Luke Edwards.
Will it be a transition to Liverpool?
It is less than a day left on the international transfer window. At 20:00 tomorrow, Monday, it is closed for the English clubs to recruit, and Alexander Isak’s transition to Liverpool is a fight against the clock.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Norwegian television expert and ex-player Jan Åge Seat Soft reported that the transition is a fact, and that a deal worth £ 130 million (equivalent to just over SEK 1.6 billion) is completely clear. It would make Isaac the most expensive British recruitment ever.
Since then, there have been mixed reports in British media, where consensus seems to be that an agreement between Liverpool and Newcastle has not yet been reached.
“The story of Alexander Isak balances on a knife -edge with less than 24 hours left. Liverpool must make a new bid, and they have to offer enough money for Newcastle to consider it too good to refuse”writes Daily Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards, who is an expert on football in northern England, at X.
“There is a feeling among some people talking to it will happen. Isaac will be a Liverpool player. Others are far from convinced.”
According to previous reports, Liverpool prepares a new bid for Isaac, which, with a number of performance -based bonuses, could be worth almost £ 150 million (SEK 1.9 billion).
“We will not know until the bid is placed, but it is expected to come. It must come because Isaac has behaved as he has done just because he was waiting for a second bid. It is a huge moment for PIF (Saudi Public Investment Fund, reds. anm.) which will make the final decision. The consequences are great”, Writes Edwards.
