Willem II Close to Signing Feyenoord Striker

According to sources close to Football InternationalDevin Haen is close to joining Willem II. The 21-year-old attacker looks set to become De Tricolores’ fourth signing after Jari Schuurman, Justin Hoogma and Wouter van der Steen.

Haen, who was on loan at FC Dordrecht last season, is still under contract with Feyenoord for another year. In the play-offs for promotion/relegation, the striker was notably on target against Willem II. In the regular season, Haen scored 12 goals in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie last season.

The former De Graafschap striker was also of interest to Excelsior, but now seems to choose Willem II after all. In doing so, he follows the example of Schuurman, Hoogma and Van der Steen, who committed their future to the relegated club last month. Nothing is known about the amount of the transfer fee.

If everything comes together, Haen will step into the gap left by Kyan Vaesen, Youssuf Sylla and Jeremy Bokila. Vaesen and Sylla returned to their original teams after a disappointing loan period, Bokila was not offered a new contract and will continue his career elsewhere.
