If we are allowed to believe Journalist Julianne Cerasoli, the much -discussed boarding clause in Max Verstappen’s contract was activated after the GP of Austria.
In recent months, the boarding clause in Max Verstappen’s contract, which continues until 2028, has been discussed several times. The details of that conscious clause were never brought out, but there were different theories, ranging from activation at a certain position in the World Cup to the ‘feeling’ of Max Verstappen.
According to Julianne Cerasoli, a renowned F1 journalist and familiar face in the Paddock, the boarding clause in the Max Verstappen contract was activated after the GP of Austria. According to her, the rumors that Max Verstappen could not leave if he is in the top four of the World Cup, she says she always hears that it is the top two.
According to Cerasoli, that would be viewed half -yearly and therefore the GP of Austria was an important race: “We believe that the race is important for his future, or this period. At the end of June, the end of the first six months of the year, the exit clause will come into effect, which exempt from his contract with Red Bull.”
Due to his failure and the fact that Lando Norris won the race, a second place in the World Cup at the end of June is impossible and in principle Verstappen has free job to negotiate with other teams.
“The door now seems to be open to him to leave. We don’t know if he will do it, we will have to wait,” said Cersoli.
