Seniors triumph in the second leg against Kornwestheim Cougars

The Stuttgart Scorpions Seniors showed an impressive performance in the second leg of the Oberliga against the Kornwestheim Cougars and confidently won the game with 24: 0. From the beginning, the Stuttgart team dominated the game.

Quarterback DA Ronte Smith precisely used his receivers, which led to early touchdowns by Nils Laauser, Lukas Weil and Luoay Alkhouly. Including the successful extra points, the Scorpions won a comfortable 21: 0 half-time lead. After the break, Lukas Veith underlined his class as a kicker with a remarkable 45-yard-field goal. Despite reduced personnel, the Scorpions held the lead to the end thanks to a strong defensive and secured the important victory.

We showed strong plays today. That was almost a perfect game “commented head coach Geronimo de Pauli after the game. With this victory, the Scorpions (currently 3rd place) continue to follow the top of the top league table, behind the Mannheim Bandits and Bondorf Bulls.

The next home game of the seniors will take place next Saturday on Waldau against the Red Knights Tübingen.
