Saturday, June 28, the SLO Judo organized its end-of-year gala at the Jean-Jaurès complex gymnasium, in the presence of Dominique Laurent, mayor of Bettancourt-la-Ferrée, and Jean-Marc Lasson, mayor of Valcourt, both former club judokas.
More than 90 judokas have show for two and a half hours. The sections carried out demonstrations appreciated by more than 200 spectators who responded in despite the heat. The gala was also an opportunity to highlight the many highlights of this exceptional 2024-2025 season. Ainci, the SLO judo was labeled Club Silver by the French Judo Federation, which shows that the club is developing in many areas. SLO Judo has set up lessons in mental preparation for competitors. In the notable points, for the second consecutive year, a development of the suitable judo section, the acquisition of a minibus facilitating travel in competition and training outside. A club judoka will integrate a high -level structure next season at the Reims Hope pole. Finally, four athletes have gone black belts.
The SLO Judo won very promising results in competition with nine qualifications on the national championships. Three judokates obtained their training diploma of supervisors. SLO Judo ends the season with a strong increase in licensees, or 168 in total. The club has rewarded two volunteers, Gaëlle Daire and Barbara Losa who have been doing a great job in the club for a few years.
At the end of the gala, licensees and spectators took advantage of a friendly evening with the arrival of a food truck.
