Senago Baseball: Local Team Pride

Another dream come true!

Matteo Marelli, a former young promise of Senago Baseball, signed his first professional contract with the historic New York Mets franchise! An extraordinary goal that fills us with pride.

Matteo started to launch since the child in the via Cesate pitch, where he took his first steps in our nursery. At just 15 years old, he made his Serie A debut with Senago Baseball, immediately demonstrating his talent and determination. His growth was accompanied by the constant commitment and the guide of our coaches, who contributed to forming a complete athlete and ready for international challenges.

In 2022, Matteo had the honor of wearing the blue shirt at the Under 18 World Cup in Florida, replacing the injured Diego Gergolet and representing Italy with pride. Subsequently, he participated in the Olympic Camp 2024 in the United States, an opportunity that further enriched his international experience.

This contract with New York Mets is the crowning of years of sacrifices, passion and dedication. In Matteo and his family our sincere compliments go and best wishes for this new adventure. We are sure that it will continue to make us dream and proudly represent our territory in the world of baseball.
