PSV-Leverkusen Transfer Fee: Controversy & Analysis

The transfer of Malik Tillman, who almost disappears like a thief in the night at PSV, is almost round.

This is reported by the Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano. All parties, PSV and Bayer Leverkusen but also Tillman and his agent with Bayer Leverkusen, his agreement. PSV receives many millions for Tillman, but the much mentioned and heard sum of 40 million euros still raises many questions on social media.

Malik Tillman will at least make the previously announced transfer to Bayer Leverkusen. According to the transfer expert, all parties agree and PSV would receive around forty million euros for the midfielder.

FC Bayern Munich does not seem to be intended to take action for Tillman, so Leverkusen has a free job. The German record champion has had a return clause included in the midfielder’s contract, but Bayer Leverkusen does not expect the Bavarian club to take action.

PSV will therefore collect a million sum and therefore makes a lot of profit on the American, but what is lasting is the club that it could not have been much more. PSV receives around forty million euros for the American. In Leverkusen he thus becomes the record purchase of the club. To date, Kerem Demirbay, who made 32 million in 2019 the switch from TSG Hoffenheim, was the most expensive purchase in club history.

For PSV, the transfer fee is not a record sum, while it should have been. On the other hand, PSV might have received a disappointing transfer fee next season, where a big win is now being credited. Anyway, many discussions about the transition, which is almost settled.

Tillman is currently still active on the Gold Cup with the United States. The expectation is that a medical examination at Leverkusen will not be long inhabited and could even take place in the United States.
