Peter Rufai, former goalkeeper of the Nigerian national team and a prominent name in Portuguese football, died on Thursday at the age of 61, the victim of a prolonged disease.

RUFAI stood out in Portugal, particularly in the Farensewhere he was one of the main responsible for the success of the Algarve team between 1994 and 1997, having helped the club reach his first presence in European competitions.
