Olympic Lair Kirchdorf: OÖBV Event

The Upper Austrian badminton had a very special training evening young athletes from several clubs during regional training in Kirchdorf. The Austrian Olympic participant of Paris 2024, Collins Filimon, was a guest in Kirchdorf. This cross-club talent training, in which athletes from the clubs Schlierbach, Wels, Windischgarsten and Kirchdorf took part, was led by state coach Peter Zauner and with Lorenz Windauer there was another top-class sparring partner or assistant coach in addition to Collins Filimon. In particular, the 27-year-old professional athlete Filimon, who also competes for ASKÖ Traun in the 1st Badminton Bundesliga, was able to inspire the young badminton athletes. In a high -quality training session, Smash and Netzpiel was worked on, with the Austrian Olympic Tar show the exercises presented and helpful tips and tricks on how to implement this ideally. After the training, Filimon was also available for a question and answer session, explained his successful path to the Olympics to the youngsters and at the end of the training with his base training partner Lorenz Windauer also showed a great exhibition match. The hobby athletes of the Kirchdorf adult group also enjoyed the regional training session to compete with and against the three top players.
