Jonathan David Transfer: Confirmed to Top Club | Football News

Jonathan David is no longer a player of the French Lille after many years. Several clubs pulled his sleeve, but he postponed his choice for a long time. Now he has found an agreement, with the Italian Juventus.

In 2020 Jonathan left David Kaa Gent for the French Lille. There he was a seasoning and strong holder for many years. In 2021, the Northern French even won the championship title, at the expense of the large Paris-Saint-Germain.

David was always linked to European top clubs during transfer periods. But a transfer did not happen just as often. Until he saw his contract end this summer and was able to draw transfer -free at any club.

And that seems to happen now. According to Transferwatcher Fabrizio Romano, Italian Juventus has found an agreement with the Canadian. Only medical tests separate David from a switch to Turin.

Juventus has been muddling in the Italian league for several years. The last title in the Serie A dates back to 2020. Yet it remains a club with international allure and with attracting David they have again a reinforcement for the attacking compartment.

The 25-year-old David scored 109 goals for Lille in 232 matches. At Ghent he was shared top scorer in 2020, together with Antwerp striker Diemerci Mbokani.
