Hexen-Cup: Baden-Württemberg Badminton 2024

For the 22nd time, the badminton department of the PTSV Konstanz organized the witch cup. At the internationally occupied youth tournament, the organizers around tournament director Edi Klein welcomed 200 participants again, including over 90 players from Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, France and the Czech Republic.

The tournament received a ranking list of category C in all age groups and disciplines in advance and was carried out in a total of 19 playing fields in the extended Schänzlehalle with direct access to the painting Seerhein.

In the age groups U11/U13, most strong athletes from German clubs were not at the start due to a parallel A-RLT. Birk Orth (SSV Waghäusel) succeeded in wining a podium in the U13 age group in the U13 age group. Lukas Russ/Mia Monosov (BC Lörrach-Brombach) won the final in the MX U13 against the top seeded German-Czech pairing Čestmír Bečka/Mahili Markandu in three sets with 19-21, 21-7, 21-13.

In the age groups U15 and U17, mostly Swiss pairings were on the podium, including the Konstanz Ben Dallhammer as second in Mixed U15, which recently moved to Switzerland and is now starting for BC Uzwil. In the final with partner Yara Ubieto (BC Trogen memory), the two of the Zurich pairing Felix Xu/Alina Meier lost with 18:21, 18:21.

As in the previous year, the Saintthuile brothers from Orléans, who have occupied top positions in the French ranking lists in France, won the JD U17. In the MX U17, Neal Schörlin (BC Offenburg) / Julie Gauch (BC Kerzers) achieved the final after a competitive semi-final trial victory against the top seeds Matti Kramer (BNS Zurich) / Malin Schneider (BC Kerzers). They won this in an exciting finish with 21:17, 14:21, 23:21 against the Bavarian pairing Rana Medharametla/Julia Sui.

The U19 age group counted most of the Baden-Württemberg podium. Local hero Luis Dallhammer achieved almost a triple victory after the victory in the U19 and MX U19 with partner Kuyilini Markandu (TV Aldingen), who also won the Me U19. In JD U19 with partner Felix Haller (SG Schorndorf), the mating was extremely lost in the third set with 21:18, 20:22, 21:23 the winners Julian Mikitisin (SpVgg. Mössingen) / Neal Schörlin (BC Offenburg).

The organizers were very satisfied with the number of participants, especially since two A-RLT took place at the same time. Since the Witch Cup 2026 will be equipped with A-A-Reviews in the AKS U11/U13, participants are expected to be expected.
