Badminton – more than just badmint

Teams

With at least one team we regularly compete as part of the hobby liga of the Rhineland Badminton Association. The season starts in autumn and ends in summer, depending on the number of participating teams to play the twenty games. By contacting other clubs there is a good opportunity to gain experience with new opponents and to improve their way of playing.

About badminton

Badminton is a type of return for two players (single) and four players (doubles or mixed). It has a certain similarity to tennis, but differs from this in basic playing and tactical aspects.

The badminton playing field, compared to the tennis field, is significantly smaller. The badminton racket is much lighter than a tennis racket. The game ball (badminton) must not touch the ground. It is equipped with a spring or palate wreath, which gives him his special flight characteristics.

Badminton places high demands on reflexes, basic fastness and condition and continues to require concentration skills and tactical skills for a good game. Long rallies and a playing time without real breaks demand well -developed endurance.

Badminton makes the fact that changes in the stroke of the stroke can be achieved without significant removal movement due to the slight rack in the stroke direction without significant removal movement. The quick attack game can only be countered by good reflexes and very good running work.

The change between hard -beaten attack balls, bought finters and precise, soulful play on the net is what makes the fascination of badminton.
