FC Porto League Draw: Latest News & Conditions

The kick-off of the Portugal 2025/26 League will be given this Friday at Arena League Portugal, the stage of the draw of professional competitions. From 7:30 pm, in Porto and Sport TV, the participating emblems in the first and second level will be known the opponents on 34 days that will take place between August 10 and May 17.

1. The second half of the competition is a mirror of the first;

2. On the same journey, the following teams cannot coincide as visited (IE, if one play at home, the other will play outside):

– For reasons of safety and regularly foreseen geographical situation:
a.
SL Benfica and Sporting CP;
b. SC Braga and Vitória SC;

– Same, at the request of the security forces:
c.
AFS and Moreirense FC;
d. When SC Braga play at home against one of three teams with the best average rating in the last three times, the remaining two teams cannot play as a visitor against Moreirense FC and FC Famalicão;
e. When Vitória SC play at home against one of three teams with the best average rating in the last three seasons, the remaining two teams cannot play as a visitor against Moreirense FC and Gil Vicente FC;
f. When SL Benfica play at home against one of the three teams with the best average rating in the last three seasons, the remaining two teams cannot play as a visitor against the amateur star and Estoril Praia;
g. When Sporting CP play at home against one of three teams with the best average rating in the last three seasons, the remaining two teams cannot play as a visitor against the Amadora Star and Estoril Praia.

– Same, at the request of the security forces, as far as possible:
h.
Gil Vicente FC and SC Braga;
i. Vitória SC and FC Famalicão.

3. To avoid, as far as possible, that the same team consecutively disputes at home or outside, their games with the five teams with the best average classification in the last three sports seasons:
a.
SL Benfica: 17.33 points
b. Sporting CP: 17.00 points
c. FC Porto: 16.33 points
d. SC Braga: 15.33 points
e. Vitória SC: 13.33 points

4. From the 1st to the 4th round, the participating teams in the qualification phases of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League (European competitions), cannot play:
a.
with the teams of the islands;
b. each other;
c. with the five teams identified in paragraph 3.

5. In the 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 19th, 23rd, 26th, 29th and 32nd, there can be no games that oppose teams that are playing the UEFA Champions League and teams that are playing UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League.

6. Avoid, as far as possible, that non -participating teams in European competitions compete for two followed journeys with teams that participate in these competitions.

7. Other circumstances of force majeure or exceptional properly proven:
a.
Rio Ave FC plays the 1st round as a visitor;
b. Sporting CP plays the 1st round as a visitor;
c. FC Alverca plays the first round as a visitor;
d. CD Tondela plays the 1st matchday as a visitor.
