FC Porto Football Fitness: Season 10 Registration Open

There are already nine consecutive times and the success of the Fotball Fitness program at FC Porto continues to grow. Based on the recreational practice of football, this project combines the passion for sports with health promotion, with the support of a multidisciplinary team of experts and exciting testimonies from those who have seen their lives improve on and off the field.

In a field where goals are not only scored, but personal victories are achieved, Football Fitness has proven to be a powerful tool for improving physical fitness, mental health and quality of life of more than two hundred participants. Open to men and women between 21 and 62, the program does not require any prior experience in the sport, just a desire to have an active and higher quality life.

“By participating in this program several benefits are expected, such as decreased body weight, blood pressure and fat mass, increased muscle and bone mass, improving strength, balance and cardiorespiratory aptitude,” explains the project coordinator, Prof. Doctor Susana Póvoas. Additionally, social interaction, team spirit and the pleasure of the game make football fitness a transformative experience.

Football with Purpose: PCagoal will be present again

For the third consecutive season, FC Porto joins the PCagoal project, which allows men with prostate cancer to integrate an exercise program with clinical follow-up, promoting its active rehabilitation. The results have been notable: improvements in aerobic performance, lower limb strength, agility, balance, blood pressure and quality of life.

The Football Fitness program operates at the New Balance Park (former field of the Constitution). Training are guided by coaches with specific training in the program. There are two training sessions per week, one hour each and also on two Saturdays per month.

Men:
Group 1 – 3rd and 5th fairs (20h50)
Group 2 – 3rd and 5th fairs (21h50)
Group 3* – 2nd and 4th fairs (20h50)
*This time is subject to a minimum number of registrations.

Women:
Group 4 – 3rd and 5th fairs (20h50)
Saturdays (19h00), except if competitions/activities are scheduled in the New Balance Park.

Among the new participants, members FC Porto have priority in choosing the schedules. The annual amount of registration, which includes personal accident insurance for the entire time 2025/26 (10 months), has a cost of 60 euros and a monthly fee of 32 euros.

In case of payment of the registration until September 9 and the beginning of the season on September 16, participants will enjoy a 10% discount on the registration fee. Dragon Force soccer school students, training soccer, training and training soccer students, with proper regularized monthly fee, will enjoy a 20% discount on each monthly fee.
