The rear Australian international law of Lyon, Ellie Carpenter, was transferred to the English club Chelsea, OL Lyonnes announced on Wednesday.
Arriving in 2020 in Lyon, the Australian International won two Champions Leagues (2020, 2022), four French championships (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025), two champion trophies (2022, 2023) and a French Cup (2023).
On Tuesday, OL Lyonnes announced the arrival of the Canadian International Ashley Lawrence from Chelsea. The former PSG player evolves at the same post as Carpenter. The Australian therefore makes the opposite path and arrives within the well-oiled workforce of the Blues, champions of England for the sixth time in a row and semi-finalist of the last Champions League.
She will find her wife in London, the Dutch Danielle Van de Donk, also leaving from Lyon towards the London City Lionesses of Jocelyn Préacher, promoted in the first English league.
