Turin, 2 July 2025 – Real Mutua Basket Turin communicate the news concerning the composition of the technical staff of the first team for the 2025/2026 sports season.
At the end of the season just ended, the streets separated with the coaches assistants Alessandro Iacozza and Federico Tosarelli. To both the most heartfelt thanks go from the club for the professionalism shown and the work done in the last championship, together with the best wishes for their respective professional stages.
A special thanks goes to Alessandro Iacozza for the humanity and dedication shown throughout his path in Gialloblù. The only figure to have lived the world of Basket Torino since the foundation of the club in 2019, in six consecutive seasons he played the role of first assistant, collaborating with five different coaches (Demis Cavina, Franco Ciani, Edoardo Casalone, Matteo Boniciolli and Paolo Moretti) and earning over time the esteem and affection of the whole environment.
For the 2025/26 season, the technical staff led by Paolo Moretti will see the entrance to Flavio Bottiroli in the role of first assistant and of Andrea Lazzari as a second assistant.
Bottiroli, born in 1977, a native of Porretta Terme (Bo) with double Italian and Sanmarinese citizenship, boasts a past as a player between the mid -90s and the 2000s. He made his Serie A for Virtus Bologna in the 1994/95 season, as Junior aggregated to the first team, sharing the victory of the Scudetto with Paolo Moretti, then one of the reference players of the V Nere. The routes of the two crossed a few years later at Virtus Siena, where Bottiroli was on the field and Moretti held the role of head of the youth sector. Since 2010 he has embarked on his coaching career, gaining experiences between Spain and Andorra at the youth level. In the 2023/24 season he was Deputy Alba coach Fehervar in Hungary, and then be part of the technical staff of Coach Giorgio Valli at Napoli Basket in Serie A.
Andrea Lazzari, Turin technician, brings a path rooted on the territory as a dowry. After a long training cycle in Bra, he joined experiences in the women’s A2 (BC Castelnuovo Scrivia, with whom he conquered the promotion in Serie A) and, in the last season, he held the role of technical manager of the U17 and U19 groups of men and women of the Gators of Savigliano.
