André Castro is the new assistant coach of FC Porto team B. Just hanging his boots at age 37, the former midfielder and captain starts a new career as a coach of the blue and white structure.
In an interview with the newspaper The Game published on Wednesday, André Castro reveals the role that will be reserved for him: “I will continue in FC Porto’s team B, as an assistant, and also with the extra responsibility of accompanying players who can train to team A, as well as the under-19 who train in team B. It will be very good for me, it is something that challenges me and makes me wake up with a great motivation to help this club.”
“It was something that I have always environmentalized. The tactical, technical and mental question of players has always fascinated me, not only at the end, but throughout my career. I always believe that the connection between players, the teams and the club is something that is noticed a lot within the field. I always tried to contribute to this same good spirit, infecting the others,” explains the latest element of the “Bee” technical team.
André Castro will have a cross -sectional function to the various teams of the Portista formation already from the 2025/26 season.
