Titz-Mertesacker Era: TSV Havelse First Match Report

“I’m really happy”
The world champion and ex-96 professional for his home club, the TSV Pattensen, wants to appear 30 minutes, who celebrates his 135th anniversary with the game. “I’m really looking forward to the game,” says Mertesacker, who today heads the Arsenal FC young academy, and grins: “I have often trained with the U16 from Arsenal in the past few weeks and I am halfway in shape.” The game is completely sold out – exactly 2,000 tickets were sold.

If you still want to be there live, you have the opportunity to follow the game in the free live stream in the 96 app, on Hannover96.de or on YouTube. Radio 21, media partner of Hannover 96, presents the transmission.

Titz celebrates its premiere on the sidelines
For Christian Titz it is the first game as a 96 head coach. The 53-year-old is looking forward to many fans in Pattensen and announces that they use all players from the current training group: “I find these games important here in the region. You are particularly close to people. All players will get playing time so that we can get into the rhythm. We do it with two teams for one half.”

Except for the two offensive newcomers to Benjamin Källman and Mustafa Bundu, which will start training at the beginning of the second week of preparation, all previous summer obligations will probably be there and will be used.

Mertesacker: “A great honor”
It will be a very special comeback for via Mertesacker. After almost 30 years, the 2014 world champion laces his shoes for TSV Pattensen. “The fact that I will play again for the TSV is a great honor for me. The last time in the blue jersey was almost exactly 30 years ago, at that time in e-youth. After that, I then switched to Hannover 96 on July 1, 1995.” It was not until 2006 that he left the club – as a national player.

Accordingly, Mertesacker is also looking forward to seeing Hannover 96, watching the events at Maschsee carefully – and with confidence in the new coach Christian Titz: “He stands for a clear football and a clear attitude. I’m looking forward to it.”

The kick-off is at 6 p.m.-live in the 96 app, on Hannover96.de and on YouTube. Turn on is worth it!
