Jakarta

The role of psychologists in the body of PP PBSI is still highlighted related to the decline in the achievement of national training athletes in the tournament in the last six months. Waketum I PP PBSI Taufik Hidayat give his view.

The problem of psychologists sticking out to the surface when one of the women’s singles athletes, Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi, who wants to find a psychologist from outside the National Pelatnas. The statement opened the indication that PBSI did not yet have a psychologist.

“Are you sure you need a psychologist? It’s not just a psychologist, it requires another synergy. The psychologist is good if the physical exercise isn’t good? “Now whatever PBSI is talking about is wrong. We don’t know what the athletes are like. We have prepared everything, and the psychologist is not easy. There is something that can be personal, some can be generally general. It’s not easy you, taking care of the athlete is not easy,” he said.

The 2004 Athens Olympic gold medalist at the same time confirmed that the presence of psychologists in PBSI actually existed. However, more does not match athletes.

“Like ever, it doesn’t match, replace it again, it’s they (athletes) who feel. Not us. If we force it, now, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, 1,2,3 10 but if they are not coock, die lah We. What do you want? “

“So what to be questioned is sure to really go to a psychologist. They also have to look at them what their techniques are, what are they physically. Like what?” he said.

Taufik has also planned to conduct a further evaluation on Thursday (6/26/2025) at 10:00 WIB. Previously, he and the coach had partially evaluated after the Indonesia Open 2025.

However, he did not want to explain in detail what was the big record of the decline in the achievement of Indonesian badminton athletes in the last six months.

“It’s not possible for us to open everything,” said Taufik while ending the interview.
