Jan Zušťák is one of the legends of the club not only as a player, but also begins to assert himself as a coach. In Písek this year, a team of younger adolescents led to victory in the regional championship and at the same time worked as an assistant at the second league U17. Now he comes back to Strakonice, where he is waiting for a new challenge – leading the first team of adults.
The coaching leadership changed after Wednesday’s meeting (25 June), where the current coaches Přemysl Holust and Jiří Kříž, who led the team for two seasons were dismissed. “I thank both coaches for their work. The second place in the past season is undoubtedly a sporting success. We have decided to change – we think the team needs a new impulse,” Lukáš Mourek said.
Jan Zušťák comes with a clear vision and a desire to work. “I leave Písek with a clear conscience. The offer from Strakonice was a challenge for me that makes sense. I am glad that the cadre remains together – it would not make sense for me to take over the team where players would end up in motivation. says a new pilot.
Part of the implementation team will be Stanislav Legdan as a playing assistant coach. B-team coach Martin Linhart will also participate in the cooperation. The implementation team remains otherwise unchanged: Jiří Cibulka, Martin Šobor, masseur and goalkeeper coach Bohumil Mára.
And what did Přemysl screw say about his appeal? “I returned from vacation yesterday and I had a message on the phone that he wanted to have a meeting with me. I was told that I was ending with the team. Of course it was a big shock for me. After – for me – very successful season and Vasek Mrkvička, for the two years we have been here. they went to watch the matches, were positive, and now many people support me and do not understand the decision … “
Thus, on Křemelce, Přemysl bolt says goodbye to the second place: “We entered the season with the aim of moving as high as possible in the table, attracting viewers to the stadium and from the leadership we were given the task of finishing to third place. I think everything has done, so I evaluate the season in which we finished second, as very successful. We got 58 points, we lost one match at the home stadium – with the sovereign Milevsko – and our defense was the second best in the competition. All the more I was surprised by my appeal from the position of head coach. I want to wish everyone in Strakonice football to make a change“he concluded.
