Stade Français: European Vice-Champion Signs On

The Stade Français announced this Monday the arrival of the Samoan Iakopo Mapu. Powerful third-line (1.83 m, 106 kg), in November 2024 he joined the Holy Northampton, Vice-European Champions after their defeat against UBB in the Champions Cup final. A final in which he had not taken part, playing only 7 games (3 tenure) with the English club.

27 years old, Iakopo Mapu had joined the Super Rugby Moana Pasifika franchise, but without playing the slightest match. He participated last September in the Pacific Nations Cup with the Samoa (6 selections) and was selected for the new edition, next August.
