The 2025 National U16 5×5 Basketball Championships, organized by the Vietnam Basketball Federation, was held in the Vinto East of June 18-26. The competition is highly regarded by experts and will be an anticipated stage for U16 basketball players nationwide.
The U16 basketball team from the PK-KQ Peak Military Service participated in this year’s official player. It was under the map of the coach of the national team, Bui Thanh Binh, Pham Thanh Tung, and Nguyen Tien Duong. The air defense forces were very famous in the basketball world with national team players. However, this is the first time that the U16 national team, which is composed of military uniforms, has won a high silver medal.
This year, the miracle of U16 PK-KQ PEAK is the coaching duo Pham Thanh Tung and Nguyen Tien Duong. They raised and led the team from the first day of the team.
Palm Tan Tong played as a Vietnamese national team player in the 2015 SEA game. He worked as a forward center for the Southeast Asian competition center at Hanoi Buffalos and Saigon Hit.
Nguyen Tian Zong is one of the key players of PK-KQ. He lived in various professional clubs in Vietnam, including Saigon Hit, Tang Long Warriors and Hanoi Buffalos.

Basketball fans were very surprised when the U16 PK-KQ Peak beat Hanoi 1 in the semi-finals. Hanoi 1 won the national U16 tournament before that, and was mentioned as a candidate for this season. The semi-finals of PK-KQ PEAK and Hanoi 1 were very dramatic, and thrilling scenes were unfolded throughout the game, saying that Hansports experts said, “I think I can make the whole game into a movie.”

The semi -finals between Hanoi 1 and PKKQ Peak were really thrilling. The players led by Tung-Zong coach played a persistent and elastic play based on the united game style, solid defense, excellent blocking, and sharp attacks, making it difficult for the opposing team to constantly use the tactics. It was because of the “Steel Eagles” and the devoted efforts of the players. This victory contributed to changing the color of the U16 National Convention Medal in 2024.
In the following finals, the U16 PK-KQ Peak had to win a silver medal, despite the best work. But this was never a sad ending. This is because the silver medal was a brilliant achievement when Palmtan Tung and Nguyen Tienzong first sent their students to the stadium.

In 2025, 20 teams from 14 prestigious basketball teams will participate in the National 5×5 U16 Basketball Championship. There are six female basketball teams and 14 male basketball teams.

After the end of the tournament, in the men’s department, the Ho Chi Minh Team took the first gold medal and the PKKQ Peak team was second in the silver medal. Hanoi 1 team and Park Nin Pit Bull Team took third place.
The first place in the women’s category was Hanoi Team, the second place was Ho Chi Minh City, and the third place was co -occupied by the Gintuan team and the Bin Dean War.
