The attacker David Pastrňák dominated the Golden Hockey Stick for the best Czech player of the season. For the star of Boston, who did not win since 2017 only once – three years ago he was defeated by Ondřej Palát – finished second Martin Nečas. Roman Červenka took third place in the vote of selected coaches, officials and journalists.
The ceremonial announcement of the 57th year of the poll took place this evening at the Vinohrady Theater.
The prize was also received by the best junior, which became the captain of the representation at the Bronze World Championship under 20 years Eduard Šalé, the best hockey player Kristýna Kaltounková, the fresh number one draft of overseas PWHL, and the Parahokejist of the season Radek Zelinka.
The 19 -year -old Pastrňák, who did not participate in the announcement as in the previous two years, was the most productive Czech player in the NHL last season.
In the regular season he scored 106 points in 82 matches. In the spring he also introduced himself at the World Championship, where he dominated Canadian scoring with six goals and nine assists and journalists put him in the All Star team.
“The whole Czech Republic probably perceives what a player it is. There is nothing left to do but to take a darkening hat. If you look at it even at the World Championship, what he showed… The joy of looking at him,” said Ondřej Beránek, one of the three extraleague representatives in the top ten. The support of Karlovy Vary, which was announced this year by the hockey player of the season, ended up in the Golden Hockey stick tenth.
Pastrňák gained 565 points and defeated the second Nečas by 114 points. The third Červenka received 372 points. Last year Lukáš Dostál took the fourth place last year, Tomáš Hertl, sixth Jakub Flek, seventh Filip Hronek, eighth David Tomášek, ninth Karel Vejmelka and tenth lamb.
