Lando Norris was the fastest on the Red Bull Ring before the qualifying training. Second, teammate Oscar Piastri finished third, and third place, just like Friday afternoon, was Max Verstappen.
Based on the first training day – as well as the first ten rounds – McLaren waited as a favorite for the Austrian Grand Prix Saturday, the qualification and the last practice of the weekend before.
The home audience’s favorite team, Red Bull, was well tuned in, Max Verstappen, who finished third in the second training session. True, with a three -decimal lag…
In this connection, however, the team noted that the disadvantage was in fact smaller than it seemed to be based on the results.
The third practice, as we have become accustomed to, was slowly spinning: at the end of the first quarter, only seven riders had a measured circle. For example, Red Bull, Alpine and Haas, as well as Lewis Hamilton with Ferrari soon came into work.
The fastest in the early days was Verstappen, who started the day on hard blends, but teammate Cunoda Juki and Hamilton, who were on the soft, were behind him.
Towards the end of the first twenty minutes, Lando Norris took the lead, who was “only” faster, even though he started on the soft. Behind Cunoa jumped after he improved his best, which was only seven centuries better than a teammate’s hard blending.
Towards the end of the first half hour, Hamilton accelerated and Oscar Piastri also signed up for the table, but none of them could approach Norris’s time.
Hamilton’s disadvantage was almost four tenths, and Piastri’s had more than half a second. Cunoda’s backlog was six tenths, just like the Fifth Verstappené with his first round.
Half -time, George Russell also signed up for the top: Mercedes rider ranked third on the soft, but he was missing from Norris, almost half a second.
To Norris, after putting the soft ones, Charles Leclerc was closest to Ferrari: his disadvantage was two and a half tenths. With this order, Norris, Leclerc, Hamilton, Russell, Piastri were in the direct “leading field”, followed by Alexander Albon, Cunoda, Andrea Antonelli and Verstappen, who continued to be ninth with the Tough.

Norris then accelerated even further with a soft tire! He ran a ride for half a second than the previous attempt. The advantage was almost seven tenths against Russell, which has jumped second in the meantime, and over seven Antonelli and Lance Stroll, who is in fourth position.
Before Norris, he was listed by Piastri, whose lag was only a tenth. In the last ten minutes, Verstappen also drove out on the soft tires, and his time was enough for third position for the first run.
Ferrari riders also accelerated: Leclerc was fourth with two and a half decades, and Hamilton was fifth four and half. Norris also tried to repair, but he slipped on his quick circle, so he could no longer carve tenths of his best.
Nevertheless, no one could surpass his circle in the last minutes, so despite his fault, Norris was the third free practice.
Piasti was second, Verstappen was the third, then Ferrari and Mercedes double, Leclerc, Hamilton and Russell, Antonelli. Stroll, Cunoda and Bortoleto were still in the top ten in front of the qualifying.
For the weekend, its program will continue with the F2 sprint competition, which can be followed from M4 Sport from 2:10 pm. And at 4 pm, the F1 timer starts! The introductory program will begin at 3:30 pm.
