Niger Archery Ban: Latest Updates & Impact

The ASA 1st Arc Games Archery competition took place on June 26, 2025 on the annexed field of the March 26 stadium. On arrival, the Nigerian archers came out victorious in all categories.

As a men’s team, Niger won the gold medal with 111 points, followed by Burkina Faso, which was satisfied with the silver medal with 59 points and Mali, the bronze medal, with 45 points.

In the mixed team competition (man-woman), the Nigerien team also took over the Burkinabé and Malian teams classified 2 respectively 2th et 3th.

The continuation after advertising

The Nigerien Asmaou Issoufou won the gold medal in “Insvidual Dames”. Two Burkinabés, Kiema Wendyam and Nikiema Guemilatou obtained the silver and bronze medals respectively.

In “Indivuelle Men”, Niger won every 3 medals at stake. Gold returned to Adamou Saley who won with 57 points, followed closely by his compatriot Ridouane Saidou (56 points, silver). Abdoul Aziz Yachaou for his part with 49 points and classified 3thobtained the bronze medal.

The entire competition which ended with a medal ceremony to the archers, took place in a fraternal spirit and fair play in accordance with the vision of the AES games, under the supervision of judges and referees from the 3 countries.
