Alex Marquez who finished in second place was considered to protect Marc Marquez Along the Dutch MotoGP Sprint Race race 2025 at the Assen Circuit on Saturday (6/28).
At the beginning of the Dutch MotoGP sprint race 2025, Fabio Quartararo who was in Pole succeeded in leading in the first corner followed by Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia. Then soon Marc Marquez managed to overtake Quartararo in the leading position on the first lap.
On the second lap’s turn Alex Marquez managed to go up to the second position shifting Quartararo, having previously successfully overtaken Bagnaia. Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez also competed in the leading position.

While on the fourth lap Marco Bezzecchi managed to push to the third position shifting Quartararo.
On the ninth lap or the last four laps Quartararo fell on the 10th corner which made him lose fourth position.
Up to the last two laps Marc Marquez was able to lead 0.1 seconds in front of Alex Marquez. But, despite having the strength and opportunity to overtake his brother, Alex Marquez seemed to ‘prefer to’ trailes behind Marc Marquez.
This caused the allegation that Alex Marquez was considered deliberately ‘protecting’ so that his brother won in the Dutch MotoGP sprint race 2025.
The reason is, it was seen that Alex Marquez was not as aggressive when he overtook Francesco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo on the initial lap of the Dutch MotoGP sprint race.

Until finally, Marc Marquez came out as the winner of the Dutch MotoGP Sprint Race 2025 followed by Alex Marquez in second place and Marco Bezzecchi in third place.
