Latina, Italy, is gearing up for a summer of sporting excitement with the second annual Città di Latina Trophy, a multi-sport event showcasing basketball, padel, and volleyball. The festivities kick off on Monday, June 30th, at 7 p.m. in Piazza del Popolo, promising a vibrant atmosphere for athletes and fans alike.

The Amici del Basket Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Latina, is organizing the tournament, transforming the city center into a bustling sports village throughout July.

While basketball remains a central attraction, with tournament games scheduled from June 30th to July 20th, the inclusion of padel and volleyball adds a unique dimension. Think of it as a smaller-scale,localized version of the Olympics, fostering community engagement and celebrating diverse athletic talents.

Massimo Passamonti, president of the Amici del Basket Association, expressed his enthusiasm for the event: The effort was remarkable…but the hope is to transmit a new dimension of living the city. Our wish is to do even better than the first edition, when we recorded a flow of about 30,000 people. We worked for this.
