“Our city has a very strong sports identity, with great football clubs and hundreds of neighborhood clubswhich allowed us to be chosen as the world’s world capital 2027. And we are preparing for that, ”said Jorge Macri. In addition, he stressed:“The sport transforms, includes, generates ethical culture and values, and contributes to building a better society”.

More than 800 students from 13 Buenos Aires schools participated in the Olympic Day Buenos Aires, World Sports Capitala day held in the Pavilion America of the Olympic Park of Villa Soldati together with consecrated athletes and authorities of the city government.

The boys enjoyed a circuit with stations from different disciplines As football, hockey, basketball, BMX, rugby, handball, bádminton, table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics, in addition to shows and playful activities guided by the circus group La Pipetuá.
Sport figures such as Walter Pérez, Alejandra García, Belén Succi, Vanina Oneto, Serafín De dengra, among others, accompanied the day.

For its part, The Secretary of Sports, Fabián “Chino” Turnes, who also participated in the activitystressed the importance of sport as an inspirational engine for the youngest: “High performance sport is the mirror and inspiration for thousands of young people.
