Maharashtra U-19 teams will be selected for the forthcoming West Zone championship.In the boys’ singles second round, unseeded Nagpur player Jeeva Pillai shocked Pune’s sixth seed Yashraj Kadam 15-13, 10-15, 15-12 in a thrilling tie to advance to the round of 32. In the girls singles round of 64, Pune’s Juie Jadhav achieved a 15-5, 14-16, 15-6 win over fourth-seeded Pranali Wadar, eliminating the Sangli player from the tournament.
