Italy Over45s: Maxi Basket World Championship Debut

Better than that could not start the Fimba World Championships of Maxi Basket for the women’s Italian Over45 national team.

Italy Over45 debuted in the continental review, which takes place in the Canton Ticino, winning the first two races. Saturday 28 June the blue with a strong Lariana matrix guided on the bench by coach Gianluca Piccolo and on the pitch from the multidencent ex -Comense champion Raffaella Masciadri (Originally from Como, editor’s note) They beat San Vitale the United Kingdom for 58-31 while Sunday Bis winning in Bellinzona against Guadalupe Travolta for 78-30. Great enthusiasm mixed with a little tiredness in the blue changing room where Euphoria reigns, ambition and many smiles thanks also to a large sequel to fans: “Good first two and now ahead like this”.

The group closes

With the qualification in the next round already in the pocket the blue will close the group today, Monday 30 June, facing the Ecuador at 11.40 in Lugano (Campo Sea Noseda Lugano via Battista Foletti, Massagno). The women’s over45 category tournament sees six groups at the start and will end with the finals of 6 July.
