While the defeat of Indonesia, making the Kirgistan also still occupy the third position of the Group D standings by packing zero points from one match that was undertaken.
Indonesia won over the Kirgistan thanks to a mere puppet goal scored by Isa Warps in the 65th minute in his debut match with the Indonesian women’s national team.
In the next match, Indonesia will face Pakistan. Meanwhile, Kirgistan will fight Taiwan on Wednesday (2/7).
Then in the last match Indonesia will fight Taiwan. While Pakistan will meet Kyrgyzstan.
Here’s how Indonesia qualified for the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup finals by utilizing the last two Group D matches:
1. Winning against Pakistan
Considering that there was only one ticket to qualify for the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup finals as Group D winners, Indonesia must win the match against Pakistan.
In fact, not just winning, but Indonesia must win with a big score considering the Garuda Pertiwi rival, Taiwan, has won 8-0 over Pakistan.
Winning big over Pakistan will be useful for Indonesia to compete in a goal difference with competitors in Group D, especially Taiwan. But if you lose to Pakistan it will be difficult for Indonesia to qualify for the 2025 Women’s Asian Cup finals.
2. Fight Taiwan’s opponent
If Indonesia wins over Pakistan, then Taiwan wins over the Kyrgyzstan it will make the final group D match between Indonesia vs. Taiwan the final match for the ticket to the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup.
In the last match in Group D, the Indonesian women’s national team must fight to beat Taiwan to qualify directly to the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup.
If it draws, Indonesia must do a goal difference with Taiwan to determine the team that won Group D in the final standings.
