National Basketball League made known the assignment of the title of Manager of the year in Serie A2 Old Wild West For the sporting season 2024-2025, “Gabriele Fioretti” Awardad Andrew Gracissports director ofApu Old Wild West Udine. The prize is awarded in the memory of Gabriele Fioretti, General Manager of Basketball Biella and in the world of basketball as a journalist and manager, who passed away in November 2014 at the age of 39.
Gracis, born in Treviso in 1960, had an important player experience, in the role of Playmaker, with Basketball Treviso, Reyer Venice, Victoria Libertas Pesaro and Bears Mestre, until 1999, winning 3 championships, 3 Italian Cups, 1 Italian Super Cups and 1 European Cup and totaling 655 games in Serie A. On 1981 and 1991, winning the silver medal at the 1991 European Championships. After the player’s career, Gracis remained in basketball with various roles: prosecutor, European scout for the sacrament Kings, NBA deductible, until 2013. For 9 years, from 2014 to 2023, he held the role of sports director of Treviso Basket, initially in DNB and then in A2 promotion, up to A2 promotion. A in 2018-2019, vintage in which the Venetians also conquered the Italian LNP Cup. In the top flight, the Treviso company was then able to obtain the qualification for the FIBA Basketball Champions League, played in 2021-2022. Since 2023 Gracis has been sports director of the Udine.
