Dylan Harper (* March 2, 2006 in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey[1]) is an American basketball player. He was selected second by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2025 NBA draft in 2025 and has been under contract with this franchise since then.
Harper visited the Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, where he was considered one of the best high school players in the country. In his junior season, he scored an average of 24.9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game. He was in 2023 by NJ.com appointed high school player of the year in New Jersey.
For the 2024/25 season, Harper decided on College at the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, where he convinced with an average of 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.[2] He was elected to the big ten All-Freshman team for his achievements.
On June 25, 2025, Dylan Harper was selected in second place by the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA draft.
Dylan Harper is the son of the former NBA player Ron Harper, who won five NBA titles in the 1990s with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.[3] His mother Maria Harper (born Pizarro) also played college basketball. His older brother, Ron Harper Jr., played at Rutgers University and also made the leap into the NBA, where he only played 11 games in his first three years of care.
