Dolphins-Steelers Trade: Ramsey & Smith for Fitzpatrick – NFL News

(Miami Gardens) The dolphins of Miami exchanged the star of star corner Jalen Ramsey, the winger close Jonnu Smith and a seventh round choice in 2027 at the Pittsburgh Steelers against the half -security Minkah Fitzpatrick and a choice of fifth round in 2027.

Ramsey himself announced the exchange on Monday in a publication on the social network X. The Dolphins had accepted by mutual agreement to try to find him a new team.

Neither Ramsey nor the Dolphins gave details concerning the reasons for this divorce.

Fitzpatrick therefore returns to the team that drafted him at 11e Rang in 2018. He had become unhappy with his role among the Dolphins and had asked for an exchange before being shipped to the Steelers in 2019.

The exchange remains conditional to physical examinations.

Ramsey and Fitzpatrick were both named three times to the star team. It is only the third time since at least 2002 that two players who have been appointed to the star team have been exchanged for each other, according to Sportradar. The other exchanges involved Deandre Hopkins for David Johnson in 2020 and the winger brought Jimmy Graham closer against the Max Unger Center in 2015.
