The players were selected on Sunday to represent Korba district in the main draw of the 24th Chhattisgarh State Junior Ranking Badminton Competition. The selection tournament was organized by the District Badminton Association.

In which in the badminton selection competition of the under -19 boys and girls, Devanshi Bareth from the girls category and Ravikrishna from the boys category won. 11th grade student Ravikrishna Bhagat won the event with 21-11 and 12-21 points. Both the winning players will take part in the direct main draw of the 24th Chhattisgarh State Junior Ranking Competition to be held in Surajpur next month.

Badminton players of the district were selected to represent Korba in the state competition. A total of 12 matches were played between 9 am and around 1.30 pm in the selection competition of the under -19 players. Players under the age of 19 were called here to participate in this selection tournament in which 14 competitors arrived. These included 3 girls and 11 boys players.

Devanshi Bareth was the winner and Riya Pasi runner -up in the under -19 girls category. At the New Era Progressive School, 9th student Devanshi captured the tournament 15-6 and 15-8 Devanshi in the final match. Korba District Badminton Association President Ashok Sharma, Secretary Gopal Sharma, Dr. Shirin Lakhe, Eklavya Sports Arena Korba President Dr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Sonal Felix, Sumer Singh Rajput, Manish Kumar, Yogesh Samanta supported the event.
