Daniel Valois and Martin Jacob school coaches will soon hang their rackets after having trained more than 300 young badminton players in the region, both college and secondary.

It was in 2001 that the duo embarked on this adventure through diplomats from Bernard-Gariépy high school. Quickly, the successes succeeded: banner of sports ethics, banners of the regular season and regional championship.

Over the years, Valois and Jacob have led to several excellent secondary athletes, such as Kim Lavallée (double provincial champion) and Alexis Hogue (multiple champion in simple male).

As of 2009-2010, the two men began to train the rebels of the Sorel-Tracy Cégep. Again, the successes have accumulated, especially with Gabrielle Bouley, champion in single, double and mixed.

Recently, during a surprise evening bringing together several former diplomatic athletes, polypus and rebels, Daniel and Martin were honored at Cégep de Sorel-Tracy. Their work was also underlined during the last polypus sports gala.
