(Indianapolis) The Indianapolis colts announced on Wednesday that their owner Jim Irsay died in his sleep at the age of 65.
Pete Ward, a long -standing right arm of Irsay and the team’s operational director, the news announced in a statement. He clarified thatrsy had died peacefully.
“Jim’s dedication and passion for Indianapolis’ colts, as well as his generosity, his commitment to the community and, above all, his love for his family, were incomparable,” said Ward. Irsay had a huge impact on the organization.
With the director general Bill Polian and the coach of the temple of renown Tony Dungy-members of the renowned temple-, as well as the quarter-Arrière Peyton Manning, Irsay helped to make colts, formerly considered as the laughingstock of all, contenders in the title for many years.
The colts won the Super Bowl under his wardrobe in 2006.
But Irsay has fought against health problems in recent years and has been doing fewer and fewer public appearances after falling at his home on December 8. He has since received a diagnosis for a respiratory disease and has been operated twice.
