Former Celtic defender Carl Starfelt could be on the move this summer, which could see him facing Celtic. The Swedish Internationalist is reportedly the subject of interest from ambitious Serie A side Como.
The 30-year-old made the switch to La Liga in 2023 after a successful spell at Celtic, where he formed a formidable defensive partnership with Cameron Carter-Vickers and helped the club to five trophies in two seasons.
Life hasn’t been as straightforward for Starfelt in Spain but he has impressed on an individual basis. Celtic could come up against Starfelt as part of their pre-season plans as they will with Alex Valle; however, the reality is that Celtic have probably not replaced the central defender.
Liam Scales stepped into the role after injuries led to him being parachuted in at Ibrox. The Irishman impressed but it was expected that the arrival of Auston Trusty would provide CCV with an appropriate partner. Although, a few shaky performances soon resulted in Scales being back in the team.
