Partizan has undergone the Zvezda crime from the throne also in Superliga. It is with an external success, in Subotics against Spartak (79:93), that the Juventus team of Belgrade closed the final of the Serbia National Championship, winning the match, series and national title after having also conquered the Lega ABA championship a few weeks ago.
The success, therefore, allows Partizan to happen to the bitter rivals of the Crovena Zvezda in the gold register of the Serbian National Championship, after tearing the red and white of the tournament champions who collects the best of the basketball of the former Yugoslavia.
Spartak vs. Partizan 79:93 – statistics
A partial of 1:10 made in the third quarter was the way in which Partizan took over in a game in which Belgrade went to the long break with a single length of advantage (44:45), and then increased their margin eleven points at the last interval (61:72) and finally winning by fourteen.
The team led by Bogdan Karaičić, who replaced Željko Obradović, prevailed by means of a better performance on the perimeter, keeping the hosts at a 6/23 from three by pulling, at the same time, with 43.3% from long distance.
Duane Washington was once again a factor in the tournament playoffs thanks to a stellar performance of 41 points, with 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 triples scored. Arijan Lakić, always on behalf of Partizan, made 15 points with 5 triples, 3 assists and 2 stolen balls.
Spartak side, Coach Vlada Jovanović received 22 points with 4 rebounds and as many assists from Luka Cerovina, and 21 points with 5 rebounds from Dušan Miletić.
