The ASSE professional group arrived at Chambon-sur-Lignon last night, in order to start a new week of preparation. Whether behind the scenes or on the grounds, the next few days promise to be loaded for the Stéphanois club.
On June 19, the Greens found the way to training in a Robert-Herbin sports center which came out of several weeks of work. As announced by us about ten days ago, various redevelopments and refreshments were carried out within the professionals of professionals but also in that of training. The work will continue in the days to come and will resume next year with in particular the objective of having a new weight room.
All these investments prove in any case the desire to killer to settle in the long term. Strengthening towards excellence in terms of infrastructure is absolutely essential to build solid bases and continue. It is also important for a club to Staff to properly animate these infrastructure. With this in mind, a first major change has been made. The physical trainer Benjamin Guy has indeed been replaced by David TIVEY, who has great experience in the United Kingdom. If some clubs sometimes make the mistake of investing too much on the transfer window and not enough on infrastructure and competent staff, ASSE seems to have taken the right direction. The idea is to advance the club as a whole to bring stability, and not to give in to impatience.
First internship for ASSE
TIVEY was not the only new head on the lawns of the ETRAT in recent days. Accompanied by Sylvain Gibert, coach of the reserve, and Romain Hamouma his new deputy, several young players have indeed resumed with the professional group (El Jamali, Eymard, J. Mouton, etc.). These elements from the training center should logically be part of the group invited to the first summer preparation internship.
Eirik Horneland players arrived at Chambon-sur-Lignon last night. As usual, ASSE is installed at Bel’ô, a very famous three -star hotel. The Greens will not be the only ones to come and enjoy the Chambon facilities this summer. Sochaux, Troyes, Grenoble, Cannes, Toulon and ASM Clermont (Top 14) will follow one another in the coming weeks. The ASSE women will also spend 3 days there, from August 6 to 9.
After starting the preparation very physically strong, the Greens will take advantage of this week to strengthen the group’s cohesion and prepare the first friendly match (July 5). At the end of this internship, ASSE will actually be opposed to the Etoile Carouge FC (D2 Switzerland).
A workforce soon reinforced?

Among them, we find in particular the lifting of the option of purchase of Pierre Ekwah. The idea of Kilmer has always been to keep all of his young recruits who have arrived for a year.
In central defense, several files have been tempted, not without difficulty. The club has indeed already suffered several refusals and comes up against a lack of attractiveness compared to first division teams. And this despite substantial means – more than 5 million euros – for this position deemed priority. It remains to be seen whether the Raux-Yao track (Rapid Vienne) will also know the same outcome. The former of Rodez would indeed be courted by the Torino.
Finally, since Pierre Cornud’s return to the Maccabi Haifa, the first names are starting to emerge as a OFF for the left -back post. Petrot has not been extended at the moment and Darling Bladi is courted and does not enter the plans. Bastia and other Ligue 2 clubs are for example on the file, while the player’s outing conditions must be discussed soon. To follow …
