Alaoui’s journey into coaching began in 1998. My first certification in football was issued to me by the American federation, then I continued the entire training course. Today, I have almost all the licenses, he says, highlighting his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Beyond coaching certifications, Alaoui broadened his expertise with training in technical direction and structural management. This allowed me to acquire a global vision of the operation of a club. I supervise several clubs and I intervene both on training and structuring, he notes. His work is akin to a master architect, ensuring that each club has the blueprint for success.

For several years,Alaoui led the Secaucus club in New Jersey,a role he remembers fondly. I stayed there for five or six years, appointed by the mayor of the city and the municipal council. It was a great experience, he recalls. His involvement didn’t stop there. Today, we see more and more, and it warms my heart, he says. At his former club in Secaucus, around 90% of the coaches were Moroccan. So much so that local authorities wondered if it was an American or Moroccan club, he jokes. Some were not convinced at the start, thinking that this habitat was difficult to access. But by dint of work and following the good steps,they succeeded. This story underscores the importance of perseverance and mentorship in overcoming challenges and achieving success in the competitive world of soccer coaching.

Looking ahead to the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, Alaoui is optimistic about the logistical preparations. The infrastructure is ready,the stadiums are operational. The real challenge is sporty, he asserts. This sentiment echoes the concerns of many American soccer fans, who are eager to see the U.S. Men’s National Team compete at the highest level on home soil.

As a keen observer of Moroccan soccer, Alaoui closely followed Wydad‘s performance at the Club World Cup. Faced with manchester City, the team defended in a low block, which is logical against an opponent of this level. but there have been individual errors. The first goal is avoidable.
