Exactly. Back then, signing an NHL contract seemed like a distant dream. I started getting more playing time in Litvínov, then earned opportunities with the national team, and now this contract with Boston. I’m resolute to make the most of this chance.

Can you pinpoint a specific moment that jumpstarted your career?

It’s not one single moment, but the beginning of my collaboration with Zdeněk orct was crucial. We worked extensively on various aspects of my game. Zdeněk is a tremendous expert.

Primarily my mental approach. I used to dwell on every goal I allowed,but as Mr. Orct says,Goals are part of hockey. He also stays current with goaltending trends and can relate to the challenges goalies face as he played the position himself.

Do you think coaches without playing experience are at a disadvantage?

I wouldn’t want to generalize, but having personal experience is definitely a critically important advantage. For example, if a goalie lets in a soft goal, a coach who has been in that same situation can better understand what the goalie is going through and how to respond. I’m confident of that.
