at the heart of the project lies the creativity of Trieste’s youth. In collaboration with The FVG Regional School Office, a city-wide call invited primary and secondary school students to design the new face of the court. The challenge included integrating standard basketball court lines with those of Baskin (inclusive basketball), a discipline that unites players with and without disabilities. This mirrors the Special Olympics movement, proving that sports can be a powerful catalyst for inclusion.
Borgo San Sergio will soon boast Trieste’s first outdoor Baskin court, a tangible symbol of Basketball Trieste’s commitment to inclusivity.
