Get ready for hoops action! The annual Tama Monorail Basketball Classic tips off April 2nd, 2025, showcasing a diverse range of talent from university to elementary school levels. This year’s tournament promises thrilling matchups and a glimpse into the future of Japanese basketball. the main games will be held April 12th and 13th at Myosei University hino School Gymnasium.

Event Details

The tournament runs from Wednesday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 13th, 2025.Qualifying rounds will be held throughout the week, culminating in the finals and ranking matches on the final day. Note that the high school boys and girls categories will feature exhibition matches due to overlap wiht the Tokyo Metropolitan High School Athletic federation’s tournament.

Venues

Games will be held at the following locations:

• Myosei University Hino School Gymnasium (Building No. 25)
• Hino Citizens’ Forest Fureai Hall
• Hino City Minamihei gymnasium

Myosei University Hino School Gymnasium is conveniently accessible via the Tama Monorail, directly connected to “Chuo University/Myosei University Station” (approximately a 5-minute walk to the gym). Think of it as the Japanese equivalent of taking the “T” to a Celtics game at TD Garden – public transport is your best bet!

Admission

Admission is free! Though, be aware that entry might potentially be restricted if the venue reaches capacity. Standing room may be the only option available during peak times. Please note the following when attending:

• Bring indoor shoes.
• Parking is not available; please use the Tama Monorail.
• Take all trash home with you.
• The venue is not air-conditioned, so dress accordingly.
